Motorcycle Reviews – 2009 Aprilia, Buell and Triumph Streetfighter Shootout Read the full comparison at Motorcycle.com. www.motorcycle.com More than enough power and abundant useable torque coupled with an open and upright rider triangle are the underlying traits of naked, or streetfighter machines. These sportbike-derived scoots offer the same great handling, braking and overall performance that their racer-type brethren do, but in an everyday, usable package.

Make that 2 ways as Buell is done. Harley has cut them loose. 1 good thing, HD dealers are discounting this bikes big time $5000!. So if you want one you can get one pretty cheap

You got that right. I had an ’08 Lightning, and the Aprilla or Speed Trip would kill it. This Buell, however, will win at a track against the others (with equally skilled riders of course) If I could put the Rotax motor in the Lightning I would have loved it, but I am very happy with my ’09 1125CR. Buell got it right this time for sure! Like you said, every rider wants something different, so buy what you want enjoy it and stop hating on other bikes!

Buell hit a home run. Buell all the way!

I will never own another Buell. If you dent the tank (frame) you’ve just flushed a ton of cash down the toilet. I like the Speed Triple, but I hear that owning one sux because they are not well made. Aprilia needs to put out the RSV-4 in the US. I would like to see that bike be the platform for the new Tuono.

None of these bikes are crap; they just have different design criteria. When you design for a certain spec, you often have to make design compromises. ETC: if you design for plush ride you have to compromise by loosing handling. Every bike is different and everyone loves different things…in the end it’s about what that particular rider is looking for and what bike delivers it best. For me it came down to outright fun to ride; and the Buell won by a mile.

Buell’s are crap. I saw the 09 APrilia Tuono at the dealer the other day. What a beautiful bike. The craftsmanship is top notch.

He contradicts himself quite a bit. Towards the beginning he talks about the Aprilia brakes, then says the Triumph has more braking power. Then toward the end he says the Aprilia has the best brakes of the group.
Anyway, interesting review.

Got to be the triple all the way. With the wheelbase of a rollerblade screaming stand me up all day then flick me round and one of the sweetest motors put into a bike.. No contest!

That was a lame review. Everyone knows the Speed Triple power delivery kicks all ass.

Great review, but horrible picture quality
I’d pick the Aprilia.

Interesting. I was kind of leaning towards the Buell. If I had to chose one I think that would be it.
