sounds good enough to get to work and back… i also like your setup with the Schwinn Stingray, that’s a good though frame, i’ve seen it being ridden with lawn-mover engines, but this electro setup beats everything. nice one.
All depends on the battery capacity at the time, but in that video 60v 12ah LFP gave 30 kms with some to spare ( no chain, so running empty is no fun ! ), speed aprox 40 km/h

I wish they would sell the XXL Stingray with a hybrid pedal-electric set up. It would be one cool ride!

The Giant Stiletto Bicycle is the best full size adult bike to do an “electric chopper” with, and a big guy can fit it easily.
October 7th, 2010 at 9:12 pm
Yes, it’s one big brushless gearless direct drive hub motor, ie: Crystalyte X5305
I had it out on the weekend at 100v ! Almost too much fun..
October 7th, 2010 at 9:51 pm
Is that like a huge brushless motor spinning the rear tire straight from the can or is it a planetary reduction?? That’s pretty tight.
October 7th, 2010 at 10:22 pm
Yes, Giant makes them, and there are many other chopper frames out there. .
This one is an OCC Schwinn Stingray , a kids bike, but without the pedals it’s comfortable to ride around town even for a full sized adult.
I have Miele ” Last Call “, the thing is like 8ft long, i am installing a 1000w cyclone to it shortly !

Do these chopper bikes come in larger sizes?
