Will Smith in the recently released Hancock notwithstanding (the superhero flies in this one, so no super car here), generally, you can always associate superheroes with the super cars they flaunt – be it Batman’s Batmobile or the X-jet Blackbird or even, the Harley from Ghost Rider. The innovative minds fashioning these mean machines leave no stone unturned, and these super cars’ accessories and design would probably match up to your wildest car-fantasies.

Let us take an in-depth look at some of the most popular super cars but please bear in mind that all the details we are going to discuss are fictitious and are the figment of the creator’s imagination!

First up, the Batmobile – the trusty steed of the Dark Knight needs no introduction. With an armour plated chassis and rocket boost-enabled high performance engine complemented by special devices and mounted weapons, the Batmobile is a powerhouse with good space to manoeuvre and resistant to enemy attacks and obstacles. To add to these features, there are also those additional little nuggets like a forensic kit, tiny helicopter, a remote and computer linkage to the Batcave. The Batmobile is also frequently referred to as being powered by a nuclear generation of electricity.

Next, we come to the X-men. Armed with all the latest technology, courtesy Dr. Xavier, the X-men use the fictitious aircraft, Blackbird (later renamed as the X-jet). It was quite obviously modelled on the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird, a long-range, strategic reconnaissance aircraft. The original aircraft line was in service for over three decades – from 1964 to 1998, wherein 32 models of the aircraft were created. The X-men version of the blackbird was different on a couple of major aspects – the X-jet could seat multiple passengers and it was modified for ‘Vertical Take-off and Landing.’

After that we come to the newest super ‘vehicle’ – not quite a car, but more than worth a mention on our list. Although the movie Ghost Rider didn’t make such a lasting impression, his ride definitely did. In the movie, Nicolas Cage aka Johnny Blaze rides a ‘Buell’ motorcycle to double up as a stunt cycle, and Grace’, a heavily customized hard tail chopper, which transforms into the “Hell Cycle” – spewing fire and with a blazing skull at the front. The Ghost Rider’s skull flames were meant to display any emotion other than rage, and hence designed to become smaller and blue.

Another superhero vehicle which catches your eye is the Swat Kats’ jet – the Turbokat. Razor and T-bone love taking it out for a spin while fighting crime at the same time. The aspects of the jet include the latest weapon system plus the Vertical Take-off and Landing feature – it’s a two-seater though. Also, the Turbokat holds a couple of small motorcycles within, which are used by the Swat Kats when needed.

A special mention here of Robin’s motorcycle – conferred with the title of ‘Robin-mobile’ is a disgrace to the batmobile and a hot contender for the worst superhero vehicle ever. However that notorious title is conferred on Spiderman’s All Terrain Vehicle, christened Spidermobile – how could the writers even imagine a situation where Spiderman drives an ATV?

Well, that was a round-up of all the different superheroes’ rides – my vote goes to the Batmobile, not just for its versatility but for the aesthetically-pleasing design, which puts it miles ahead of the competition.

I’ve been riding since I was 11 years old, when my parents bought me a Honda 50 that I would pretend was a dirt bike, driving the neighbors nuts, cutting up the agricultural fields not too far from our home. And I’ve been traveling the world since leaving home right after my 18th birthday, cutting up Africa, from Ethiopia to Tanzania, as well as the mystical island of Lamu, India, Nepal, Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq Syria, Turkey, and then all of Western Europe and some of Eastern Europe before I was 20 years old. But what I want to share with you is some Ray’s biker hang outs just a little bit off the beaten path, starting with Russia and then Thailand, and yeah, there are “real bikers” all over the world, outlaw bikers and some a part of the establishment, as in Russia, and then expatriates, running from the law, as in Thailand. What they all have in common is creating a fun scene to hang out, and then, these are also two places in the world where you can run into some of the most awesome biker chicks.
If you take the subway out of Moscow until it comes up from underground and darts out into the suburbs and then get out and walk or catch a short cab ride into the night you will come to the most awesome biker hangout that I’ve ever been to in my 55 years of searching. It is the home turf of the Russian Nightwolves motorcycle club, who I first ran into in the Crimea, an area of the Ukraine that includes the most beautiful mountains stretching down to the Black sea and hot spots at Yalta. I also ran into another member of the gang in Odessa, who said, “If you’re ever in Moscow, you should drop in.” A couple of years later I was traveling though Russia with a Ukrainian girl who I would later marry. We asked around, found the club house, and it was more than we expected, way more. Outside was a menacing, oversized black Harley chopper, 10 feet tall, stretched, maybe 25 feet in length. My hair was long and my arms tattooed, so the burly guys blocking the parking lot, only wide enough for a Fatboy, motioned me to wander in. These guys were obviously enormously wealthy, as I would later come to know, some of them at least former KGB and current FSB guys, one of whom gave me his FSB card, telling me that he was leaving for Turkey the next day, but if I wound up in any trouble with the law there in Russia just to call him and he would take care of it.
I say that the club was obviously wealthy because as we walked into the acre of dirt parking lot surrounded by 20 foot walls, we were confronted with a huge stage, made of oversized motorcycle parts, with 15 foot high flames rising from either side. Opposite the club was a framework of wrought iron staircases and platforms with tables and chairs, and then there were ordinary wooden picnic tables too, with baby pigs roasting on the spit. Attached to the clubhouse was a “bar,” called the Sexton, with a long winding wooden bar onto which the bartenders were always spilling long lines of Vodka and setting them on fire. At the end of the bar was a band kicking out some really awesome blues, to which were dancing some of the most awesome naked ladies in iron cages. But the most beautiful of all were not the female employees, it was the Russian biker chick wannabes who were just there to connect with one of these notorious bikers. Even my old, tattooed, long haired American biker self was inundated with the girls who wouldn’t take No for an answer. I kept on saying, “Let me introduce you to my fiance …” but they would respond, in English, “Just one dance, pleeeeese?” What were they after? Just the opportunity to have a good time. I’d spent the entire preceding summer traveling around the Ukraine, hanging out with one beautiful young girl after the next, from place to place, traveling also with a couple of body guards and an interpreter. Russian girls, like American girls, all they want is to have fun.
If you find yourself in Russia, you should also go hang out in the Ukraine. When you find yourself in Kiev, the capitol of the country, check out the Deja vu Biker Bar on Bagdan Melnitski street. Antiqe Harley Davidson’s hanging from the wall. A bunch of really fun guys and girls. I rented the former home of the Greek Ambassador across the street for next to nothing. And if you want to have a good time, guaranteed, show up at the Opium dischotech around 11:00 PM, when it opens, so that you can pick up one of the tables looking over the dance floor. The tables are pricey, if I recall correctly around $50. But all the single girls there would love nothing more that to come hang out and from the vantage point above the dance floor, you can scope them all out, and then take your pick.
As much as Russia is a kick, and the girls definitely worthy of being included in a Beach Boys song, I grew up in Hawaii, and there is no way that I could possibly hang there in the winter. Winter time is for Costa Rica or Panama or Brazil, or better yet, Thailand, and yeah, there is a major biker scene there, some guys who don’t have a choice but to retire outside America or Europe, where they’ve worn out their welcome, and more and more now, guys who just want to retire to paradise. And paradise it is.
My friend Red belonged to the Jesters motorcycle club in Pataya, which is a beach maybe 50 miles outside Bangkok, and he swears by “his” beach. I know the Jesters because every year they come down to “my” Biker Rights Advocate enclave at Patong beach, on the island of Phukett. A bridge connects the island from the mainland for those arriving by land, although it is a 20 minute, $100 flight from Bangkok. And for my money, I wouldn’t even leave the Bangkok airport, just catch a flight to the island, and enjoy the biker beach scene.
There are five motorcycle clubs on the island, the biggest being the Phuket Riders Club and they host “Bike Week” at Patong Beach in March of every year.. All the clubs get along and often party together. And there are a hundred biker friendly bars including blues clubs with live bands. I lived there for 2 years and my usual routine was to wake up in the late afternoon and then ride or swim and then write until 3:00 in the morning, and then head out to the clubs above the strip, where the working girls would go after work to just hang out with the “long-timers,” just to have fun, dance, and get wild. There is a distinction between long times and tourists, although it needn’t have anything to do with how long you’ve been there. It is mostly just a state of mind. The short-timers are usually either tourists or guys coming in to exploit the girls. Maybe I have too much faith in mankind, or maybe its just my experience on this island, but my observation was that even the ones who came into town with the objective to get to know a hundred girls in a month usually ended up falling in love after a couple of days, looking like sad puppies because the new love of their life had to work. From my observation, this is just a reflection of the fact of the matter that these are just really fun, good-time girls, and when they are off work, that’s when they want to have fun. The girls like to hang out with the bikers, especially if you have a “big bike,” which can be either a Harley or a big Japanese cruiser. The island – obviously – is just one beach after the next, with little restaurants at each, and what I like to do is just set out around the island, looking for another little beach with another little restaurant, and hang out with the regulars who somehow managed to find it before me. If you go to Bike Week in March, then you have to stick around for Thai New Year, April 13-15. New year is celebrated by throwing water at each other, and no one is exempt, indeed the most well dressed women and most dignified men are the ones who end up the wettest. Ride slow or don’t ride on these days, because bikers are definitely not immune, and you will get splashed in the face and the chest including by full buckets of water as you ride up Bangla street.

There are many different materials that the skull cap can be made from. Leather is a popular medium to use as it is durable and offers a lot of protection from the cold and rain. It can be a bit heavier than other materials though, and can be hot to wear, which in summer, can be difficult to deal with. Cotton cloth type skull caps can be easier to wear in the summer, and are easier to customize with logo’s or designs. The aren’t as durable as leather though. There are also aviator style caps that offer a fleece lining for those very cold rides.

There are many styles of cap to choose from. Traditional skull caps have a large patch of cloth or leather that cover most of the hair, and two straps that tie behind the head, to hold the skull cap ion place. Some leather skull caps offer perforation in the head piece to allow for ventilation. Aviator style skull caps offer a certain cool style to the not so average rider, who is looking to make a statement. You could also choose to have a matching face mask with the same logo as the skull cap.

There are many different designs that can be purchased from a distributor. They come already attached to the skull cap, and offer a flair of style for the motorcycle rider. You can find for example a skull cap with white biker crosses, red crosses with flames, flames drawn in different colors, USA Flags, POW MIA symbols, motorcycles, chopper crosses, rebel flags, and stars and stripes with or without eagles. The cotton style skull caps come in a variety of colors. A motorcycle riding club might also want to consider purchasing a bulk supply of skull caps to have their own logo embroidered onto them. This is a great way to show pride for the motorcycle riding club.

When purchasing a skull cap, be sure to order the appropriate size. There are some general guidelines to follow when figuring out which skull cap size to get. Measuring the head where the headband rests at on the head will give the proper size. When the measurement falls between 2 sizes, always choose the larger size. 20 ¾ inches to 21 ½ inches is regarded generally as size small, 21 7/8 inches to 22 ¼ inches is medium, 22 5/8 inches to 23 inches is large, and 23 ½ inches to 24 5/8 inches is extra large.

The use of a skull cap dates back for thousands of years and have been seen still in use in a variety of forms through out different societies and different religions. Easy Money:

If you want easy money, get a car that can take damage (the patriot can take a beating) and go down the street that goes under the downtown bridge to Prawn Island and run over the parking meters in front of the building with the weird sculpture where you find one of the idols, get out get the dough and continue. They will regenerate by the time you knock over the last one and then do it again. P.S. If you don\’t kill anyone, the cops will leave you alone.

It’s more than just the high handlebars, generous seats, and fat tires that provide a comfortable ride, it’s the ability to express one’s individual tastes by decorating their bikes. These bikes have become fashion statements among the youths of the major urban areas of the country.

Chopper bikes first appeared in California in the early 1960s. They were built by kids, who wanted to copy the then-popular customized motorcycles called choppers. Why chopped? Because the bikes had been “chopped” – put together from several different bikes.

The purpose of this article is to talk thru the options that the e-consumer has when faced with a negative or otherwise unpleasant experience with an online business. While I’ve experienced it from all the expected sources like Craigslist and EBay, I want to focus on more traditional e-commerce and my experience with Demon’s Custom Cycles South aka Demon’s Cycle (www.demonscycle.com).

By no means do I consider myself a biker or a custom bike builder. I do like to treat my one car garage like my own little pro shop and on any given night you will find me welding, bending, grinding, wrenching, or torching my way to a “cooler” bike. In early 2008 I decided I wanted to build a ground-up custom motorcycle. I did my research on styles, decided what I liked and then built the list of what I needed. I started with the frame. After a little searching I found that I could get a great deal from Demon’s Cycle.

I order my frame on 6/24/08. One thing you have to realize when building a bike is that in order to get it legally registered, the frame must have a Manufacturers Statement of Origin (MSO). Demon’s website states “frame includes a Manufacturers Statement of Origin (MSO) for registration (will be shipped separately for safety)”

A short while later I received my frame, wheels, and front end. I was pleased with the product and everything was going smooth. Now all I had to do was sit back and wait for my MSO to come in the mail. A few months passed and I still hadn’t received my MSO. At that point I sent them an email. No reply. A month later I sent another. No reply. A month later I sent another. No reply. I eventually called and was informed that they do not automatically send the MSO. They said the customer has to send an email requesting it. I was perturbed because this policy wasn’t stated anywhere on the website or conveyed to me in any email (I checked). But I sent my email requesting my MSO anyway. To this email they did reply, only it wasn’t the answer I wanted. Now I was told that they ALSO have a policy that the MSO must be requested within 3 months or it will cost you $75 to retrieve it. Now I was angry. How could they expect me to know policies that they don’t post? How can they expect me to submit a timely request if they don’t answer my emails? And now I have to pay $75 to get an MSO that I should have received almost a year prior for free! (I haven’t checked their web site lately, but after the hell I’ve raised I’m betting they might be publishing their policies now)

I consider myself a responsible, courteous customer and as such I send a polite email letting them know about my situation. I attached all three of my unanswered emails. I let them know that they very well can’t expect me to know a policy that they don’t have written and if I had known I would have requested the MSO the very second that I received the frame.

To this I was told that I just need to send them $75 and I will have my MSO.

That’s it? Did they read my email? Are they even listening? no. no. no.

Well I eventually sent them the $75. But I am not finished. As a consumer you only have a few options when you are faced with a bad situation.

1. Suck it up and go on your way

I opted for 3 and 4. Any smart business person knows that a satisfied customer may not talk to anyone about their experience but a dissatisfied customer will talk to as many people as they can. While it’s not fun to deal with unhappy customers, it is necessary. I read once that “companies with crap service goad customers into uniting against them”. That is what I am hoping to do. They may not listen to me but the same internet that makes them successful makes me loud! When the cash starts to slow, they might consider making the situation right.

Here’s my advice:

If you’ve been screwed, don’t hope that things will change. Make them change. Hope is a substitute for action, so get out there and shout, post, complain until things change.

Harley Davidson has earned popularity and a distinct mark among the bike lovers for it’s illustrious design and the exhaust note.

They are renowned more for the tradition of heavy customization that paved way for whole new cult of chopper style motorbikes.

The parts that are used by it’s manufacturers for the outer design and the inner body are uniquely constructed and till this date it is difficult to emulate the Harley Davidson parts without compromising on its performance.

It is noteworthy to observe how Harley Davidson parts have been used to create a pseudo Harleys model. It is amusing to see people attempting to create a pseudo model using genuine parts, what a paradox!
